Ekpo Urges Eagles To Beat Sudan

…Ex-int’l chargesplayers to show more commitment in Abuja clash

Friday Ekpo, a former Nigeria international has urged members of the Super Eagles to redeem themselves in Wednesday’s game in Abuja against Sudan.

Ekpo reckons that it’s important for the players to bring out the professionalism in them in the game as well as show commitment and dedication in a bid to put their 2015 AFCON qualification back on track.

“It’s important to put behind the game in Sudan, what is more important now is the return leg match in Abuja. We need to get all the points so as to ensure our hope of qualification for the 2015 AFCON in Morocco”, Ekpo said.

He added: “The players are professionals; they know what’s at stake, the need to win and be at the Nations Cup, it’s important for their career and the nation as well.”

Admitting that the Super Eagles can still navigate their way to the Morocco next year to defend their African crown, Ekpo said nothing but a clear cut win over Sudan in Abuja can keep the Eagles on a firm footing for the African football showpiece.

He further added that the only way Keshi can pacify embittered Nigeria football freaks is to snatch an audacious win against Sudan on Wednesday.
