Standard Liege defender, Elderson Echiejile, believes that the Super Eagles are much more disciplined quite united under new technical adviser Gernot Rohr than they were in the past, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Rohr succeeded caretaker manager Samson Siasia in August after the former international was drafted in for the double header against Egypt during the last African Nations Cup qualifiers.
And Echiejile who is one of the longest serving players in the squad reveals that the entire team are driven by a common goal 'to qualify for the World Cup'.
"His (Rohr') arrival has changed several things in the dressing room, and in terms of play, all the players are more discplined and ready to fight for the common goal to make it to Russia," Echiejile tells Completesportsnigeria.com.
The AS Monaco loanee also expects a tough clash in next months's World Cup qualifier against the Fennecs of Algeria, but remains confident of the Super Eagles winning.
"We thrived despite so many harsh situations, so playing at home will be a lot better and winning against Algeria in Uyo will give us more edge in the race for Russia." Echiejile concludes.
Nigeria got their World Cup qualifying campaign off to winning start, defeating Zambia 2-1 in Ndola last Sunday.
Echiejile is expected to be named in Standard Liege squad to face Kortrijk.
