Emenike Fires Blanks In Turkish Cup Match

Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike continued his barren run in front of goal last night when Fenerbahce went, saw and conquered at the Izmir Atatürk stadium where they defeated their host, Altinordu in a replay of their Ziraat Turkish Cup Group E tie.This fixture was abandoned on December 30, 2014 due to a water logged pitch.

The Nigerian,who has scored only twice for the Istanbul giants in the 14 games he has so far played was on for 83 minutes but could not find the back of the net as Fenerbahce,courtsey a 79th minute Yusuf Abdioglu’s own goal recorded a 2-1 win to draw level on seven points with group leaders Kayserispor.
