Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike is expected to resume training on Thursday as he looks to be fit when Fenerbache face Besiktas on Sunday in a Turkey Super League clash.
The Nigeria international limped out of his team’s training after feeling pains in his left groin during training on Tuesday.
AfricanFootball.com understands the AFCON 2013 goal king will resume training with Fenerbahce today (Thursday) after missing training the previous day.
“Emenike will resume training on Thursday after he recovered from an injury he sustained at training on Tuesday,” a close confidant of the striker informed AfricanFootball.com
“The injury is not as serious as reported as he hopes to be fit for Sunday’s big game against Besiktas.”
Emenike is expected to be named in the Super Eagles list to be released before the end of the week for the upcoming 2015 AFCON qualifiers.
