ENYEAMA CONCEDES SECOND HAT TRICK FOR LILLE

–Ogbeche, Ameobi, Owoeri hit brace; Emenike benched;
Akpan, Aluko missing in action

ENGLAND
John Mikel Obi (Chelsea): Nigerian midfielder John Mikel Obi made his fifth substitute appearance for Chelsea who put Arsenal to the sword with a 2-0 win. The Nigerian midfielder replaced Andre Schuerrle in the 69th minute. The win also means Mourinho’s team remain unbeaten in the league with a five-point lead at the top of the table.

Brown Ideye, Victor Anichebe (Westbrom): The duo of Brown Ideye and Victor Anichebe were not listed for Westbrom in Sunday’s loss to Liverpool at Anfield. Both players have made three appearances in the EPL with no goal.

Kenneth Omeruo (Middlesbrough): Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo made his ninth league appearance for Middlesbrough who defeated Fulham 2-0 at the Riverside on Saturday.

Odion Ighalo (Watford): Former Olympic international Odion Ighalo was an unused substitute in Watford’s 1-1 draw at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.It was his first start in the championship.

Hope Akpan (Reading): Super Eagles invitee, Hope Akpan missed Reading’s 3-1 loss away to Brentford due to a minor injury. Akpan who has been called for next weekend’s AFCON qualifier against Sudan has played eight times in the Championship.

Sone Aluko (Hull City): Nigerian international Sone Aluko was left out of the Hull City squad that defeated Crystal Palace 2-0 on Saturday. He has made two substitute appearances for the Tigers.

Victor MOses (Stoke City): Chelsea loanne Victor Moses limped out of the action in the 18th with a thigh problem as Stoke City slumped to a 3-1 defeat at Sunderland. It was his fourth appearance for the Potters this season.

ITALY
Ogenyi Onazi (SS Lazio): Nigerian midfielder Ogenyi Onazi played all 90 minutes for Lazio who saw off Sassuolo 3-2 in a thriller with nine yellow cards and two red cards. It was his third start of the Serie A campaign. Onazi who provided an assist for his side’s opener was yellow carded in the 27th minute of the game.

Nnamdi Oduamadi (Crotone): Nigerian winger Nnamdi Oduamadi replaced Sergiu Suciu in the 71th minute in Crotone lone goal defeat away to Livorno. It was his fifth appearance albeit scoring one since joining the club.

FRANCE
Vincent Enyeama (Lille): Nigeria goalkeeper and skipper Vincent Enyeama conceded three goals for the second time in Lille colours on Sunday after he was beaten by Alexandre Lacazette in his side’s 3-0 loss to Lyon. The French forward dashed Enyeama’s hope of keeping a seventh clean sheet of the season. He has now conceded five goals in nine Ligue 1 appearances. Prior to this, Enyeama first conceded three goals in a game last season in his side’s 3-1 loss to PSG.

GERMANY
Chinedu Obasi (Schalke 04): Super Eagles winger Chinedu Obasi made his second substitute appearance of the season for FC Schalke 04 who lost 2-1 to TSG Hoffenheim. He replaced Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in the 73rd minute of the game.

Anthony Ujah (Cologne): Nigerian striker Anthony Ujah played his side’s last 18 minutes as they went down 3-2 to Eintracht Frankfurt. Ujah has scored once in five Bundesliga games.

SCOTLAND
Efe Ambrose (Celtic): Nigerian defender Efe Ambrose played all 90 minutes in Celtic’s lone goal defeat at home to Hamilton Academicals.Ali Crawford’s second-half strike gave Hamilton an historic victory over Celtic as Accies enjoyed their first win at Parkhead in 76 years. It was his eight start of the SPL.

TURKEY
Emmanuel Emenike (Fenerbache): Nigeria striker Emmanuel Emenike was an unused substitute as Turkish champions Fenerbache held out to win 2-1 at home against Konyaspor. He has played four games and has scored once.

Godfrey Oboabona (Rizespor);Raheem Lawal (Eskisehirspor): Nigerian defender Godfrey Oboabona played his second game of the season for Rizespor who defeated Eskisehirspor 2-1 with Raheem Lawal featuring for 72 minutes in his fifth start. Both players have been called up for the Eagles is African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan away and at home next month.

Macauley Chrisantus, John Utaka (Sivasspor): Former Golden Eaglets star Marculey Chrisantus replaced his compatriot John Utaka in Sivasspor’s 1-0 home win against Gençlerbirligi.
Chrisantus who scored on his debut last weekend was introduced in the 94th minute of the encounter for his second appearance of the season.

Shola Amoebi (Gaziantep BB): Nigerian striker Shola Amoebi scored twice for Gaziantep BB as they fought out a 2-2 draw with Elazigspor in a Turkish second division game.

The Eagles World Cup star shot Gaziantep into the lead 19th minutes before they let slip their lead and trailed the visitors 2-1. However with 15 minutes left to play the big Nigerian popped up with an equaliser to salvage a point for his team. The brace took his season tally to three in four games as Gaziantep eyes promotion back to the top flight.

UKRAINE
Michael Babatunde (Volyn): Super Eagles winger Michael Babatunde was not listed for action in Volyn’s 2-2 draw at home to Vorskla last Friday.

Holland
Bartholomew Ogbeche (Cambuur): Bartholomew Ogbeche followed up last week’s goal with a brace as SC Cambuur defeat FC Dordrecht 4-1. The 30 year old forward doubled Cambuur’s lead in the 6th minute finishing off a slick pass from Sander Van de Streek. He completed his brace in the 53rd minute off a Daniel Da Ridder assist taking his goal tallyto five in eight games and won him the man of the match award as well. Ogbeche has made eight Eredivise appearances this season.

Spain
Ikechukwu Uche (Villareal): Nigerian striker Ikechukwu Uche played for 90 minutes for Villareal in their 3-1 win away to Celta de Vigo. It was his sixth game of the season. The 30 year old has failed to score in his last four La Liga games.

Ramon Azeez (Almeria): Nigerian midfielder, Ramon Azeez played was on from start to finish in Almeria’s 2-2 draw at home to Elche. It was his third start of the La Liga campaign.

SWEDEN
John Owoeri (Atvidaberg): Former Nigeria youth international John Owoeri was Atvidaberg hero in the Swedish top-flight league when he scored a brace to earn his club a 3-1 win at Halmstad. The 27-year-old striker has now scored eight goals in 22 games. The former Heartland star was substituted in the 71st minute with Simon Skrabb.

PORTUGAL
Obiora Nwankwo (Academy de Coimbra): Super Eagles midfielder Obiora Nwankwo was listed in Academica’s 0-0 home draw against Moreirense. The game which was Obiora’s eight of the season, saw him complete the full 90 minute.

Simeon Nwankwo (Gil Vicente), Anderson Esiti (Estoril): Nigerian player Simeon Nwankwo continued his goal scoring form for Gil Vicente as he netted in the 38 minutes in their 1-1 draw to Estoril. The game was his third for the season. Just last week, Nwankwo got a brace in their 3-2 loss to Boavista. His Nigerian Counterpart Anderson Esiti featured in his first game of the season for Estoril.

HUNGARY
George Ikenne (Honved): Nigerian defender George Ikenne played the entire duration of Honved’s 4-0 thumping against Dedrecen. It was Ikenne’s eight start of the season. He was however booked in the 42nd minute.

Eke Uzoma (Pecsi MFC): Nigerian midfielder Eke Uzoma saw action throughout the duration of their game against Videoton but they lost 2-0 at home. It was his eight of the season and he is yet to score a goal.

DENMARK
Sylvester Igboun, Rilwan Hassan, Ebere Onuachu, Femi Ajilore, Isaac Oliseh, Izunna Uzochukwu, Musefiu Ashiru (Midtjylland): Nigerian attacker Sylvester Igboun was in action for Midtjylland as they thrashed Hobro 5-1. It was Igboun’s 11th game scoring six goals so far. His Nigerian team-mate Izunna Uzochukwu was replaced by Tim Sparv in the 64th minute after being booked in the 54th minute.

NORWAY:
Osita Chikere (Viking), Daniel Chima (Molde): Nigerian player Osita Chikere was on from the start before giving way for Jon Boovarsson in the 86th minute as his team lost at home 2-1 to Molde.

The game was his 12th, scoring just one goal. His Nigerian counterpart Danniel Chima made way for Bjorn Sigurdarson in the 57th minute. It was his 25th of the season, netting 9 times.

Fred Friday (Lillestrom): Nigerian attacker Fred Friday was an 81st minute replacement for Palmi Palmason but couldn’t do anything as his team lost 2-0 at home to Rosenborg.
