Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama will be in goal for his modest French side, Lille when they play the host to Bordeaux tomorrow at the 50,157-capacity Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
Enyeama’s goalkeeping dominance for country extends to his club career as he has manned the post for Lille in all of their 38 Ligue 1 games last season and has again played all their 32 matches this term.
Enyeama’s heroic has seen him recorded 14 clean sheets so far this season and Lille has also enjoyed a recent resurgence in form winning four of their last 5 games. The host team who currently sit 8th on the league table with 47 points must however, be wary of their opponents who are sitted two steps ahead of their host in the 6th place on the log with 54 points. Bodeaux have also won four of their last 5 matches. With both teams currently match on current form, tomorrow’s clash promises lots of fireworks.
While Lille will be looking to make home advantage count against their more illustrious opponents, Enyeama and his teammates must be wary of the attacking threats that will be posed by Bordeaux leading marksmen made up of Diego Rolan who currently has 11 goals to his credit and Cheick Tidiane who has scored 8 goals so far.
Lille at some point in the league were in the race for the UEFA Europa League slot but with just six rounds of matches to go, that hope has fizzled out while Bordeaux still has a more realistic chance of still ending in the 4th position.
