Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama has stated that the team’s target is qualifying for 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea and defend the title they won in South Africa in 2013, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Enyeama who was the hero for the Eagles against Congo on Saturday after a decisive penalty save, told Sports Radio 88.9 Brila FM, that is dream and prayer to God is to make sure they defend the trophy.
“We want to defend the title we won last year in South Africa. That’s my dream to God, and I hope it comes to pass,” Enyeama stated.
A win of any margin for the Eagles against South Africa who have already booked their ticket for Equatorial Guinea 2015, will see them qualify for the tournament.
It would be recalled that the Eagles got their campaign back on track with a hard earned 2-0 win against Congo in Pointe Noire on Saturday.
Goals from returnee striker Ike Uche and China-based Aaron Samuel gave the Eagles the victory.
