Enyimba FC midfielder, Anajemba Nzube has expressed his delight following his return to the first team action with the Globacom Premier League giants.
Nzube who posted a superb display to help the Peoples’ Elephant secure a convincing 2-0 victory over Sunshine Stars on Wednesday, was named the man of the match on the night.
Having been ignored in team selection by former boss Zakary Baraje, the midfielder who is now an integral part of the coach Kadiri Ikhana led side, said it felt good to be back in the fold and that he was happy with his contribution on the night against the men from Akure.
“It is good to be back in the team again after being neglected by the former boss” he begins.
“Coach Ikhana has given me hope and has shown that any player can get into his squad if you are disciplined and ready to contribute to the team’s success” Nzube told futaa.com
The midfielder who was greeted on his return with a standing ovation by the fans after his imposing presence in the midfield for Enyimba on Wednesday, promised to repay the faith the fans have in him, by working hard always and giving his all in every game whenever he is called upon.
“The fans have been good to me and there is no better way to thank them than always ensuring that we secure positive results in matches” he begins.
“On my own part, I owe them a whole lot because of their faith in me. The only way I can pay them back is by giving my all in games to ensure this team (Enyimba) records successes in every competition we find ourselves in” Nzube added.
The People’s Elephant showed no sign of missing their suspended leading scorer, Mfon Udoh, as Etor and Markson Ojobo were on hand to do the damage in Aba and lift the club to sixth position with 32 points after 21 league fixtures.
