–Heartland, Rangers set Owerri on fire
By Adeboye Amosu:
The top three sides in the Glo Premier League; Enyimba, Sunshine Stars and Warri Wolves face tricky road trip fixtures in today's (Sunday) match day 28 actions.
Leaders, Enyimba, will keep a date with fifth placed, Giwa FC at the Rwang Pam Stadium Jos.
The hosts forced the Peoples Elephant to a barren draw in the reverse fixture in Aba. Enyimba will be without influential duo of Kingsley Sokari and goalkeeper Femi Thomas who are away on national duty.
Enyimba coach Kadiri Ikhana will have to decide whether to hand Joshua Enaholo his debut or pick Chijoke Ejiogu as replacement for Thomas in goal.
Giwa have not tasted defeat in their last four games, while Enyimba are on a run of 10 games without defeat.
Shooting Stars and Sunshine Stars will set the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan on fire as both sides clash in a South-West derby.
The visitors who were forced to a barren draw at home by Heartland in the midweek need a win to keep up pace with Enyimba who lead them with five points.
3SC who were embarassed 4-0 by Warri Wolves on Wednesday will seek to avenge the 2-0 defeat they suffered against the Owena Waves in the reverse fixture.
Third placed Warri Wolves travel to Lafia where they will tackle Nasarawa United.
The Seasiders will hope their top scorer, Gbolahan Salami is fit enough to face Kabiru Dogo's men.
Salami limped off the pitch early in their win against 3SC and with his strike partner, Oghenekaro Etebo away on national duty, coach Paul Aigbogun may be forced to reshuffle the team's attack once again.
The City of Owerri will host the Oriental derby clash between Heartland and Rangers.
Rangers have managed just two wins from their last 10 outings in all competitions.
The Flying Antelopes were in superb form against Wikki Tourists who they handed a 2-0 defeat in midweek, and the win should boost their morale ahead of the trip to the Dan Ayiam Stadium Owerri.
Fourth placed Wikki Tourists have a chance to keep in touch with the leading packs when they entertain Akwa United at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.
Lobi Stars hitman, Tony Okpotu will hope to continue his impressive goal scoring form for his side when they confront El-kanemi Warriors at the Karkanda Stadium, Katsina.
The Panther, as the prolific forward is nicknamed, has scored 10 goals in his previous 13 games for the Makurdi based outfit.
Kwara United and Abia Warriors will clash at the Ilorin Township Stadium, while the last fixture of the day will be between releagation threatened Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt and champions, Kano Pillars.
