One cap Nigeria international, Anderson Esiti was left to rue KAA Gent's 1-1 away draw with SC Braga in Thurday's UEFA Europa League game reports,Completesportsnigeria.com.
Esiti who was extra motivated to end his winless streak against SC Braga told his club's official website that Braga were lucky to have avoided defeat at the Estadio Municipal.
A sixth minute goal from Danijel Milicevic got the visitors on the way but were pegged back by Andre Pinto's leveller in the 24th minute.
Esiti had lost all three games at the Estadio Municipal playing for Estoril in the past and regretted Gent couldn't find the winner in the closing stages of the game.
The 22 year old who posted another man-of-the-match performance for Gent in the game said: "After Nigeria, I consider Portugal as a second home. I've played there four years, but had never won Braga had never played here."
"That was why I was extra motivated. I wanted to take the team in and push us to victory.
"I played with all Estoril against Braga so I knew that we could get a result here. A friend of mine said it wouldn't be, but I told him he did not know how good we were.
"And after the match against Lokeren, I was sure. With a little more luck we even would have won. But we try to just do it at home."
