Former Super Eagles left-back Taye Taiwo was on target for his Finnish side HJK Helsinki who played out a 1-1 draw in the second leg of the Europa League qualifying round.
The goal was his fifth in the competition since he made his debut in 2006 with Olympique Marseille.
Taiwo opened scoring for HJK Helsinki from the spot as his side were forced to a 1-1 draw with Atlantas of Lithuania to advance to the next round of the competition on a 3-1 aggregate.
The visitors equalised after 76 minutes in a game which his compatriot Nnamdi Oduamadi played the last 15 minutes of the clash for his second appearance in the competition.
In Slovenia, Nosa Igiebor played the entire duration of Maccabi Tel Aviv’s 1-0 win over Nova Gorica in the second leg to qualify 4-0 on aggregate.
Also in Finland, Chibueze Akabueze came off the bench to score an equaliser for Odd Grenland of Norway after five minutes at Mariehamn of Finland.
Odd sailed to the next stage on 3-1 aggregate score.
In another Europa League qualifier, Riliwan Hassan played for 56 minutes as FC Midtjylland defeated Suduva 1-0 to advance to the next round with a 2-0 aggregate.
His compatriot, Paul Onuachu, was an unused substitute.
