Super Eagles full-back Elderson Echiejile played no part in Standard Liege's 1-0 defeat away to Ajax at the Amsterdam Arena in Thurday's UEFA Europa League clash.
The 28-year-old who is expected in the Super Eagles camp for next weekend's 2018 World Cup qualifier away to Zambia in Ndola has made only one appearance since joining the Belgian side.
At the Ghelamco Arena, in Belgium, Nigerian midfielder Anderson Esiti came for Dieumerci Ndongala in the 72nd minute of Gent's 2-0 win over Konyaspor.
It was his second Europa League appearance for Gent and his seventh since making his debut for Estoril last season.
His compatriot, Rabiu Ibrahim, was an unused substitute in the encounter. He is yet to feature for Gent in the competition this season.

In Group I, Mario Balotelli strike wasn't enough as Nice lost 5-2 to FK Krasnodar while Schalke spanked Salzburg 3-1.
In Group J, a brace from Khouma Babacar and Mauro Zarate coupled with a strike from Nikola Kalinic gave Italian side Fiorentina a 5-1 win over a hapless Qarabag.
