Akwa United new signing Harmony Ikande is confident his wealth of experience can help the Promise Keepers battle for the Nigerian Professional Football League title this season, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ikande, a former AC Milan player, joined Abdul Maikaba's side on a short-term deal till the end of the season.
Akwa United are currently fifth in the NPFL table, six points adrift of leaders Plateau United.
"It's a realistic target and I hope that I can help with my experience," the former U-20 and U-23 star told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"We have a good team and a coach whose philosohy of the game is very good, so we can close the gap by getting points away from home against MFM on Sunday."
Ikande also explained why he opted to join Akwa United rather than other NPFL teams.
"They are well structured and their ambition is one that will attract any good player."
