–Charges team on discipline, hard work
By Sab Osuji:
Elder Dickson Adejube has heaped praises on Sunshine Stars following their table-topping performance so far in the season.
Adejube, a former FIFA referee and one time NFA board member during the reign of Ibrahim Galadima as chairman urged the players to remain focused, committed and hard working in order to remain tops till the end of the season.
“I know the season is a long way to go, but with dedication, discipline and hard work, as well as prayers of the good people of Ondo State, success will be achieved,” starts Adejube who was among the cheering crowd when Sunshine Stars saw off 3SC 2-0 on Sunday.
“The last time Sunshine Stars played in the CAF Champions League, they did so as runners-up in the league, this time around, they can do it as champions.
“The way they played against 3SC, I was impressed especially how they adjusted their game plan in the second half.
“It shows a team on the progressive march. But I can only advise the players not to allow the present success to get into their heads. They shouldn’t be complacent either,” Adejube warned.
Sunshine Stars have won three games in a row and stand to reap huge sum of money from ODSFA chairman, Hon. Akin Akinbobola if they win at Nasarawa United on Sunday.
