By Adeboye Amosu: Former Nigeria junior international and Heartland striker Bright Ejike is currently undergoing trials with Ghana Premier League club Asante Kotoko, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The 25- year-old featured for Remo Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League last season but could not save the club from relegation.
According to reports in Ghanasoccernet.com Ejike will be included in the Porcupine Warriors’ squad for the pre-season G8 competition which starts this weekend to prove his quality.
Ejike is a popular figure in the domestic scene in Nigeria having made his name through his goal scoring prowess for the defunct Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt and Heartland Football Club of Owerri.
He was Heartland’s top scorer in the 2015/2016 season with 13 goals but could not replicate the form the following season as the Naze Millionaires were relegated from the top flight.
