Ex-NFF Sec. Gen. Amadu: Super Eagles Look Great, Well Prepared To Make Nigerians Proud In Russia

By Richard Jideaka, Abuja:

Former General Secretary of Nigeria Football Federation, Musa Amadu has expressed his firm optimism that the Super Eagles will not disappoint Nigerians at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia

Amadu told Completesportsnigeria.com in Abuja that judging from the manner the team qualified and the commitment of the NFF in preparing the Eagles for the World Cup, that the hunger and youthfulness of the Eagles will cause problems to most teams in Russia.

“Teams are free to underrate the Super Eagles at the their own peril because these boys are capable of holding their own against the best in Russia. The discipline and bonding in this team is unprecedented and there lies the strength of the team” Amadu told Completesportsnigeria.com

He continued: “This team can go far if they win or draw their opening game against Croatia and go all out for a win against Iceland to ensure qualification before the clash against Argentina. It is not going to be easy but the Eagles will not disappoint.”

He stated that the friendly games against England and Czech republic will help shape the Super Eagles for the World Cup adding that the NFF has done well in preparing the team, and hopefully, Nigerians will see the positive outcome in Russia.

These ex this and ex that of NFF should not be saying anything about football in Nigeria. They were corrupt and they damaged football. If they hard the mindset and the know-how of this Amaju Pinnick era, we would have moved ahead more than where we are today. Nigerians are satisfied with the performances of this NFF. They have done their parts in preparing the Super Eagles. It is now in the court of the coaches and players. Quality matches. No money owed to the Super Eagles. Training camp and accommodation already secured in Russia. All areas covered. So these exes should just keep quite and let their conscience judge them whether they did well or not.
