Former Tottenham midfielder, Jermaine Jenas, is delighted to see Victor Moses take his chance as a wing-back in Chelsea's starting X1 after a string of loan spells away from the club, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Moses has spent the last three seasons away on loan from Chelsea, but has proved himself since returning in the summer scoring three goals in nine games.
The Nigerian winger who has been deployed in a new role has since thrived under Antonio Conte whom Jenas believes favours no player in the Blues squad.
"He (Conte) had a good look at the rest of Chelsea’s squad and decided what he wants and needs. Victor Moses, for example, has played for everyone except Chelsea over the past few seasons, but Conte is using him as a wing-back with impressive results," Jenas told Yahoo sports
"It shows he is a manager who is prepared to give everyone a chance – he doesn’t go by reputation."
Branislav Ivanovic and Cesc Fabregas are notable regular players dropped by Conte this term.
"Doing that at a club like Chelsea can be tough, but it tells the players they are dealing with a strong character who believes in what he sees on the training pitch. For a player like Moses, that’s a blessing.”
