–Over unpaid financial entitlement
DC Sport the UK based sports and football agency is to appear at Court for Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne Switzerland on 22 April 2015.
DC Sport are acting for Ndubuisi “Godwin” Ezeh the Nigerian former U23 footballer against Ismaily SC of Cairo Egypt and the case relates to non payment of $224,000 in contractual salary payments plus costs.
FIFA have on two occasions upheld Godwin’s claim for unpaid salary and Ismaily have appealed and the matter has been referred to CAS. Ismaily have been on the verge of bankruptcy and have recently sold John Antwi.
David Currie of DC Sport says, “I have acted for a number of African footballers against African and Asian football clubs and it is a sad reflection that the Clubs think they can treat the players how they wish without just cause.
“In Ismaily’s case, the President who brought Godwin to the club is no longer there and the current manager Fathy Bolbol simply does not want to pay.
“It is particularly disappointing that when the clubs don’t want a player they abuse the players reputation with the press and fans as if to justify their actions.”
