Konyaspor’s interest in Nigerian players seems to be on the rise after the Turkish Super Lig side added Patrick Friday Eze to it’s long list of new recruits, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Skorer reported on Thursday morning that the Nigerian striker has signed the dotted lines, joining the club on a three year deal.
Speaking at the signing ceremony held at Konya Municipality Metropolitan Stadium on Thursday, club president and spokesman Ajmer Baydar said Eze’s arrival will add quality to the team and most importantly spark healthy competition among its strike force.
In words, the 24 years old former Fujairah SC striker expressed his delight on his move to Turkey after he endured a torrid season with the Saudi Arabian outfit.
“I am so happy to have joined this great club,” Eze told Skorer.
Eze’s arrival at the club now doubled the number of Nigerian players at the green and white to two following Imoh Ezekiel signing earlier this summer.
