Radamel Falcao has declared that he would love to represent Colombia at this summer’s Rio Olympic Games.
Colombia are pooled with Nigeria, Sweden and Japan in Group B of the men’s football event at the games.
“Yes, I said before I would like to be part of the Olympics games but it doesn’t depend only on me,” the Colombia senior national team captain told Fox Sports..
On the issue of where he will be playing next season, the former FC Porto striker who is currently on loan at Chelsea said he is undecided.
Falcao spent last season on loan at Manchester United.
Falcao added: “I don’t know. I am not thinking about next season. When the season is finished I start to think about that but I don’t know, we have four more games left. I would like to play more minutes.
“The experience [in England] has been a little bit tough. It has not been easy because I couldn’t play constantly like I wanted to.
“I will still fight for an opportunity to play and I am waiting for that. These last couple of years have allowed me to be better in another ways. I am happy for that.”
