Falcao’s Man United Permanent Deal Doubtful

Falcao’s Man United Permanent Deal Doubtful

MANCHESTER UNITED may back out of a deal to sign Radamel Falcao on a permanent transfer.

The Colombian moved to Old Trafford in a dramatic deadline-day transfer with an initial season-long loan worth £6m agreed with Monaco.

United have an option to make the deal permanent but Louis van Gaal is reportedly worried about the state of Falcao’s knee.

The 28-year-old underwent surgery to correct a problem with his left knee which ruled him out of this year’s World Cup and had to pass a stringent medical to sign for United in August.

The Daily Mail report that the striker is forced to ice it after every game which is giving the Red Devils the jitters about making the switch permanent.

United have the option to take Falcao permanently for around £45m next summer but have a clause in place that allows them to pull out of the deal if they aren’t fully satisfied with the condition of his knee.
