FC Ifeanyiubah defender, Olamilekan Adeleye, is delighted with his invitation to the Super Eagles for today’s (Tuesday) international friendly match with Lone Star of Liberia and hopes to cement a place in the team, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Adeleye is one of the five home-based stars handed invitation by Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr for the game billed for the Samuel Doe Stadium, Monrovia.
The others are Enyimba trio, Mfon Udoh, Sunday Adetunji and Ikechukwu Ezenwa, and Lobi Stars’ left-back, Ebube Duru.
“It’s great to get an invitation for the game against against Liberia. This is the first time I will get the chance to play for the main Super Eagles team and I am delighted with the opportunity,” Adeleye who missed out on a place in Nigeria’s home-based team that came second at the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco due to injury told CSN.
”It’s something that I have really worked hard to achieve. The most important thing now is to prove my quality to the coaches.
“I hope that in future I will be a regular member of the Super Eagles.’
