The Flying Eagles were forced to a 2-2 draw against Ghana’s U-20 side in an international friendly match played today (Monday) in Ghana.
Musa Yahaya opened the scoring on 22 minutes,m but the Ghanaians restored parity in the 35th minute. Chidera Ezeh shot the Flying Eagles in front again on 40 minutes but their host levelled again in the 51st minute of the encounter.
Both teams will meet again on Wednesday in the second game of the international friendly.
Meanwhile, the Flying Eagles are expected back in the country on Thursday to continue their preparation towards the African Youth Championship taking place in Senegal.
The Manu Garba’s team will face hosts Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire and Congo in Group A of the preliminary round of the 2015 African Youth Championship.
Ghana will trade tackles with South Africa, Mali and Zambia in group B.
