Fenerbahce chairman Aziz Yildirim has given a strong hint that Emmanuel Emenike’s loan move to West Ham will soon be sealed.
Yildirim has confirmed ex-Super Eagles striker Emenike is close to joining the Hammers after a loan fee was agreed.
West Ham boss Bilic had described progress as “complicated” this week but it now looks like the issue has been resolved.
“We’re about to loan [Emenike] to West Ham United,” The Mirror quotes Yildirim as saying on Saturday.
“They will give €1million to us for this agreement and they will have the option to purchase him for €11m. But the deal hasn’t been completed yet.”
Emenike has scored seven goals in 11 games on loan at UAE side Al Ain this season, a loan that had caused those complications in the deal.
West Ham are desperate for some strikers with Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho injured and Mauro Zarate off to Fiorentina.
