FORMER Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Fernandez says Manchester United will be “forced” to sell Angel Di Maria to the French club this summer.
United this week confirmed the signing of winger Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven – manager Louis van Gaal’s first arrival before next season.
PSG, meanwhile, are seeking to bolster their midfield ranks and are reportedly interested in signing Argentine ace Di Maria.
And Fernandez believes Depay’s inclusion in Van Gaal’s squad will push a player out, with Di Maria favourite to leave.
“(PSG manager” Laurent Blanc wants players that have experience in the Champions League,”
Fernandez, who enjoyed two stints in management at the club, told RCM.
“He will not go for youth.
“We need PSG to move for Di Maria as Manchester United have recruited Depay and will be forced to sell.”
