FIFA have confirmed that Paul Pogba’s record transfer from Juventus to Manchester United is subject to an inquiry.
AFP reported on Tuesday that FIFA was investigating the £89m transfer to bring the 24-year-old France midfielder back to Manchester United in August.
Reports claim FIFA are seeking clarification from United regarding the transfer of the player who left Old Trafford for Juventus for a nominal fee in 2012.
FIFA are believed to be investigating who was involved in the deal and the amounts they were paid.
Pogba’s agent Mino Riola was reported to have been paid a staggering 20 per cent of the world record fee.
