Sometimes it is so difficult to sit & hear fans of the Super Eagles groan & moan in frustration as a result of released list of fifa rankings.
I agree wit everyone. It can be heart rendering if you don’t understand the current board room politics of Fifa.
As it stands, the governing council are not unawares of the complaints of its member associations over its old method of ranking which tended to give European & Latin American nations an obvious advantage over others.
Nigerians need not worry for long, their complaints are being addressed. A new ranking scale is on the way.
As you know, football is a huge global business accounting for $billions of transactions across the world annually. Several variables are factored into its product marketing & sales, and several other activities to ensure sustainable business revenues & profits. Fifa remains one of the biggest event holding organizations in the world, with annual budget outstripping what many small nations can’t boast of annually.
Where did u think these incomes flow from? But with assurances from fifa, the global body insisting on restructuring & reforms would be justified to present its new ranking type when least ranked nations can beat their better ranked contestants at the fiesta.
Nigeria is a genuine guinea pig for this experiment right now.
It’s now left for our football authorities to ensure that the national team is a good representative in a bid to break the old order.
    The world is on notice!
Should the SE perform credeably to acquit itself in Russia, the new ranking might see us fall within the first 5 teams. This is the goal.
Nigerians must remain hopeful and committed behind their darling team leading to the Mundial.
    God bless Nigeria!

If results are weighed by our fifa ranking then there’s cause for alarm.

  • Why are Nigerians worried over this COCA-COLA Rankings??? The COCA-COLA Rankings is arranged in order of The Country that consume Coca-Cola the most. So, Fellow Nigerians until FIFA are back to their Senses and unveil their criteria for the TRUE ranking let try and Consume Coca-Cola the more so that we will move up in the Coca-Cola ranking. Thanks
