–Back Appeals Committee majority decision
World football governing body FIFA have upheld the results of NFF executive committee elections of September 30, meaning the Amaju Pinnick-led body will continue in office.
In a letter dated December 9, FIFA declared they have backed the majority report of the NFF electoral appeals committee which upheld the elections in Warri.
“We note the majority decision of the electoral appeals committee to uphold in their entirety the results of the elective congress held in Warri on 30 September 2014,” read the letter in part.
“We are therefore pleased to be able to start working with the new office bearers headed by NFF president, Amaju Pinnick.
“We will contact you in the coming days to organise an introductory meeting between Mr Pinnick and FIFA president in Zurich.”
The chairman of the appeals committee had in his own report nullified the elections of president Pinnick, vice-president Seyi Akinwunmi and members Felix Anyansi Agwu and Sherif Inua.
FIFA further said they will arrange an introductory meeting between FIFA president Sepp Blatter and Pinnick.
