Nigerian midfielder Haruna Lukman is close to agreeing a deal with French Ligue 2 club RC Lens, accordind to reports.
Lukman, currently a free agent, has been training with Lens for four days now and has been impressive according to the club's manager, Alain Casanova.
"Haruna is doing well and he can help us achieve our dream if an agreement is reached," Casanova told maligue2.fr.
RC Lens finished fourth in Ligue 2 last season, narrowly missing out on promotion to the top flight Ligue 1 by one point.
The 26-year-old last featured for the Super Eagles in 2016 in their 0-0 draw away to Tanzania in Dar-es Salaam but told Completesportsnigeria.com that he he has not given up on a return to the national team.
"Things are looking good. I'm just hopeful it remains the same," Lukman told Completesportsnigeria.com.
He also played for Monaco between 2009 and 2011. During that time he represented the Super Eagles at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa where he featured in two group games as the three-time AFCON winners crashed out in the first round.
Haruna also featured for Dynamo Kiev, Hoverla Oujhorod (Ukraine), Anji Makhachkala (Russia) and FC Astana (Kazakhstan).
