Nigerian midfielder Reuben Gabriel was on target for nine-man KuPS who lost 2-1 at home to Mariehamn in the Finnish top flight on Sunday.
Gabriel’s Nigerian teammate Gbolahan Salami was shown a straight red card in the 90th minute of the match.
It was Salami’s second red card of the season after he was sent off in KuPS 2-1 away loss to Ilves in a Cup game in March.
Also sent off for KuPS was Solomon Duah a minute after Salami’s sending off.
Mariehamn went 1-0 up in the eighth minute through Brian Span before Robbin Sellin made it 2-0 in the 35th minute.
Gabriel pulled a goal back for KuPS in the 39th minute but Mariehamn held on for the win.
The goal was Gabriel’s second after 10 appearances for KuPS so far this season.
KuPS are now fourth on 18 points in the 12-team league table.
