Kano Pillars and Super Eagles fringe striker, Gambo Mohammed has washed his hands off any deal with Egyptian side, Al-Masry, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
It emerged within the week that the recuperating forward is on his way to linking up with the Egyptian side.
But the player himself told Completesportsnigeria.com that he has nothing to do with the Egyptian club, claiming he's neither been informed nor contacted over any deal.
"Moving to Al-Masry?", the bully Nigeria forward querried rhethorically. "I don't know any thing about that, nobody has informed me or contacted me."
"I've just started light training with my club, Kano Pillars, and I've not even considered playing any competitive match.
"So I don't know how a player who went through what I passed through could be thinking of signing a contract abroad by now.
"I'm only grateful to Almighty Allah that I'm still alive today but who knows if anything comes up tomorrow and I'm fit enough then I can consider it," Gambo said.
Kano Pillars spokesman, Idris Malikawa added strenght to Gambo's denial when he said there was no truth in the suggestion Gambo could be on his way to Al-Masry.
"It is not true, I can tell you there is nothing like that, it is a mere rumour. I have cross-checked this with the club secretary and he told me there has been no contact from Al Masry about Gambo Mohammed.
“Moreover, the player has just recovered from gunshot injuries and he is now doing light
training", Malikawa stressed.
