Flying Eagles coach Manu Garba has praised his team for their 2-0 win against Hungary in their last Group E game at the FIFA U-20 World Cupon Sunday, while stating their readiness to face Germany.
Nigeria finished runners-up in Group E behind Brazil, setting up a showdown with Group F winners Germany on Thursday at 8.30am Nigerian time.
A brace from Taiwo Awoniyi in the 33rd and 54th minute, sealed the win for the Flying Eagles.
Although the Germans have been in good scoring form, Garba stated that his boys are ready to take on the 1981 U-20 champions.
"Our next game is against Germany but we are ready for any team, because if we want to be the champions we have to be ready for them," Garba told the FIFA website.
The Nigeria boss also described how his team was able to contain the Hungarians.
He added: "It was a very good match for us. We wanted to score more but still I am happy with the 2-0 result.
"The Hungarians play more from the wings but we were able to control the game and the outcome."
In Group E's other match on Sunday, Brazil defeated Korea DPR 3-0 to finish on nine points.
