Giwa Calls For Calm Over NFF Crises

President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ambassador Chris Giwa has urged Nigerians to be calm in the face of the current impasse that is affecting Nigerian football. He posited that football in our country is undergoing a transition, ‘‘I see light at the end of the tunnel and a very bright future for the game in Nigeria at the end of all these challenges.’’

Ambassador Giwa also assured Nigerians that those working day and night to ensure that the country is suspended or banned from participating in international football will not only be exposed, they will be put to shame.

Giwa was speaking against the backdrop of an Elective Congress in Warri, Delta State on Tuesday September 30, 2014, despite an order by a Federal High Court, in Jos that stopped the NFF Congress slated for September 20, 2014 and the election of Tuesday in Warri, Delta State, by people he labelled enemies of football who abhor due process and respect for court order.

“I see their action (the Warri Election) as sheer disregard for rule of law and laid down procedures. An election was held and a new executive committee was elected, those who felt aggrieved should appeal to NFF’s Appeals Committee, and if they are not satisfied with the ruling of the committee, they have the right to go the Court of Arbitration for Sports.’’

Giwa stated that he could not believe that some Nigerians could be so desperate to perpetuate themselves in office that they are working with their friends in FIFA, threatening their fatherland with suspension or ban.

‘‘These are people who have ceased to be members of the NFF since August 25, 2014 when their tenure expired, yet they go about parading themselves as members of the NFF executive committee with the backing of FIFA officials who are not properly briefed about the situation in Nigeria, but are being feed with lies’’

Giwa, you are the biggest liar. Your election was the biggest fraud in NFF recent history. You will most likely wear yourself out by your illadvised continous claim as a legitimate president. You and your group of coup plotters will soon face the full wrath of the law. Watchout

Giwa please accept that we have moved forward. No more room for politics in NFF.We have a new NFF President.Congratulate him, and you can come back in 4 years time to contest. We are tired of trouble makers like you…please go honorably for now and come back again later to contest if you are interested.

Giwa, which type of ambassador are yours? Any way, you not a football ambassador, but an ambassador of confusion. I wonder why Complete Football is addressing you as NFF President. As far as I am concerned, Amaju Pinnick is our President duly recognized by FIFA. You should be ashamed of yourself, before now, you had a power tussle with Maigari, now you want to start with this young man (Pinnick), you are already a failure and if you dear try to go to that glass house, you will have yourself to blame. Idiot.

Giwa, you are simply an Ambassador of confusion. What do you really have to offer Nigeria football? Pinnick will do wonders if given the chance. Infact, carry go notin spoil- Nigerians are behind you.
