Christopher Musa Giwa, the winner of the August 26 alleged NFF elections has said that FIFA will not sanction Nigeria and that there will not be a fresh elections
Speaking with the media in Abuja yesterday, Mr. Giwa said that the election has been done and dusted, and that FIFA will change its stance after they get response to their directive to hold fresh elections on September 4.
“No, no, no, no there will never be election on September 4 because we will never allow it and I repeat, we would not allow anybody to mess up NFF, FIFA and CAF statute. No matter who the person thinks he is. I say this because election is not held twice under one week” he stated furiously.
Asked if the FIFA letter was genuine, Giwa stated that he has no reason to doubt the FIFA letter pointing out that they would respond to it today (Monday) “one thing I know is that we have received their letter and it asked us to do something which we shall let them know our position”
He expressed confident that NFF will not be sanctioned because FIFA is a responsible organisation that is not biased adding that FIFA will definitely listen to their side of the story before taking any decision
The proprietor of Giwa FC Jos then urged Nigerians to be calm as FIFA will not ban Nigeria because of “those people that are trying to bring their personal interest to bear on Nigerian football”
