Giwa Quizzed By EFCC Over Private Business Issues

Chris Giwa, who claims to have been elected NFF president, has been quizzed by Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency EFCC.

Giwa was whisked away from his Abuja home Friday by EFCC operatives to answer to the banking transactions of one of his associates.

The associate’s banking transactions between January and June this year were put at 300,000 Naira, but between June and August, the transactions had skyrocketed to 250 million Naira.
EFCC have now ordered 19 other persons who were transferred cash through this account to appear before them on Monday.

The list includes an ex-international, who was inaugurated on a six-man panel by Giwa to run the Nigeria premier league till the end of the season.

That is a good punishment for an evil doer holding the whole country to ransom and exposing us to an avoidable FIFA ban with the full backing of his godfather, Tammy Danagogo. He has been taken to where he will spend his New Year holiday. Now that God has kept the No. 1 enemy of Nigerian football in the cooler, what is Maigari waiting for? Go to the glass house with your executives and in the company of fully armed security men and hold a meeting there today and give FIFA an immediate feedback. With that Nigeria will be left off the hook, I am upbeat.

  • The result of nff crisis is what we saw on the field of play today. I pray fifa ban Nija atleast it will help us to go back to drawing board. Imagine African champion loosing to congo 2:3.
