–As team faces South Africa on Sunday in another friendly match
Telecommunication Company, Globacom has enjoined Super Eagles not to be discouraged by the result of the last friendly match against Uganda which ended 0-1 against the Eagles in Uyo on Wednesday.
The Cranes of Uganda took the lead in the second half and the Eagles tried to level up to no avail in the match from which Nigerians expected victory.
“While the loss was not impressive, particularly on the home turf and to a lowly rated team, we want the Eagles to pick up the pieces and play the remaining friendly matches designed to keep the team in shape, with zeal and determination so as to achieve the results that will enable them to win their way back to the heart of Nigerians,” Globacom said in a statement in Lagos on Thursday.
The Company advised the Daniel Amokachi led technical crew to marshal a new plan towards defeating South Africa in the next match to placate football loving Nigerians.
“This is the best opportunity for the Eagles to return to reckoning and we want the team to work hard and ensure victory against Bafana Bafana,” Glo stated further.
‘’We are convinced that Nigerians will see a different team against Bafana Bafana. All that we need is to keep supporting and praying for the team while tasking the NFF not to relent in their resolve to encourage the Eagles all the way,” Globacom Concluded.
The Super Eagles will lock horns with Bafana Bafana of South Africa in an International friendly on Sunday in Johannesburg.
Globacom is the major partner of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and official telecommunications sponsor of the national teams.
