Pep Guardiola has ruled David Silva out of Manchester City's home game against Bournemouth.
Silva did not feature in City's 4-0 win against Borussia Monchengladbach in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
His last appearance for the Citizens was in last Saturday's Manchester derby.
Guardiola also revealed that club skipper, Vincent Kompany, is not yet ready to make an appearance while stating he is undecided on the availability of Ilkay Gundogan.
"(On Silva) I think tomorrow, he will not be available. It's not a big problem but I think he won't be available tomorrow," Guardiola said inFriday's press conference.
"I am thinking of Gundogan's availability. Vincent is close but not there yet. We need him."
The former Bayern Munich manager stated that he is pleased with the performance of his team so far but insists they need to improve defensively.
"Defensively, we need to adjust small details, we still need a few things to improve but right now we are happy," he added.
And on City's 100 per cent start to the season, Guardiola said: "To win many games in a row in the Premier League is complicated… I am never satisfied… There are no guarantees to play good."
