Guinea, who stopped Nigeria from progressing from their group, edged Zambia 5-4 on penalty shootout after regulation time ended 0-0, in the last quarter-finals of the Africa Nations Championship on Sunday.
After failing to find the breakthrough during 90 minutes of action, the game went into extra-time.
During 30 minutes in extra-time, both teams failed to break the deadlock hence the lottery of penalties in which Guinea came out tops.
Earlier on Sunday, Mali came from a goal down to beat Tunisia 2-1.
The four countries that will be vying for a place in the final are Guinea, Mali, Cote d’Ivoire and Democratic Republic of Congo.
