African champions Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, who face the Super Eagles in August, could not make it two wins out of two in March friendlies as they were beaten 2-1 by Guinea in Tuesday’s friendly at the Stade Edmond Machtens in Brussels, Belgium.
In their first friendly against Tunisia on Friday in Monastir, Cameroon won 1-0 thanks to Vincent Aboubakar’s 14th minute goal.
Guinea took the lead in the 21st minute through Fode Camara.
Cameroon hit back in the 31st minute thanks to Karl Toko Ekambi’s strike.
But on the stroke of halftime, Francois Kamano scored what was eventually the winner for Guinea.
The games against Tunisia and Guinea are part of the tune-up matches ahead of Cameroon’s two key 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria in August.
The five-time African champions are currently second in Group B on two points, four points adrift of leaders Nigeria who have won two games.
