Former Everton striker, Victor Anichebe, has joined Sunderland until the end of the season.
Anichebe's signing was announced on Sunderland's official website on Friday night.
He was released by West Bromwich Albion following the expiration of his contract.
Anichebe joins his former Toffees boss, David Moyes, at the Black Cats.
"Sunderland AFC have completed the signing of Victor Anichebe," a statement on Sunderland's website reads.
"The 28-year-old Nigerian international joins the Black Cats on a deal until the end of the season, and becomes manager David Moyes’ ninth signing of the summer.
"The experienced forward is no stranger to the Premier League having made over 130 appearances in his time under Moyes at Everton and a further 55 appearances with West Bromwich Albion between 2013 and 2016."
Speaking about signing for Sunderland AFC, Anichebe said: “I’m really happy to be here at a great club.
“I have a lot of good friends here and everyone knows that I know the manager really well.
“He brought me through as a young player and was a big factor in me coming here.
“I had a few options in England and Europe but the manager was a huge pull for me. He knows me inside out and I feel like he can get the best out of me.”
