—Former Gunners captain doesn’t want club end up like Liverpool
THIERRY HENRY is concerned that Arsenal may turn into Liverpool.
The Kop have now gone 25 years without winning the English title and Henry fears Arsenal’s barren spell is setting an unwelcome precedent.
Arsene Wenger’s men got their hands on the Premier League last 11 years ago but the Sky Sports pundit thinks the next one is just around the corner.
Henry told L’Equipe: “If I told you in 1990 that Liverpool would not win a championship for the next 25 years, you would have thought I was sick in the head.
“I don’t want the same thing to happen to Arsenal.
“It’s already been eleven years.
“This year we are not too far off. With the exception of the first leg against Monaco, they have been on a good run, but they without a doubt lost too many points at the beginning of the season.
“But I think that this group can win the title in the coming years.”
