Former Tottenham Hotspur and England manager Glenn Hoddle has revealed that he believes Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is his man of the year in football in 2014.
Hoddle was speaking in his column with the Mail for his awards of 2014 and he believes that whilst Mourinho may be the obvious choice it is hard to ignore how good Chelsea have been this season.
Hoddle also touched upon the fact that despite bringing in some good new players such as Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas Mourinho and Chelsea still made a profit in the transfer market in 2014.
Jose Mourinho says he is frustrated at the way Diego Costa is being treated by referees
The former England manager went on to say that he admires the way Mourinho wants to win every single game and he said that he believes that Chelsea are favourites to win the league and they could even challenge for the Champions League as well against the likes of Bayern Munich and Spanish duo Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Hoddle said “It may be an obvious choice but it’s hard to get away from just how well his time at Chelsea is going — though the test will be whether he wins something.
