Nigeria's home-based Super Eagles team have arrived here in Cotonou, Benin Republic ahead of Sunday's first leg African Nations Championship qualifier against the Squirrels of Benin Republic, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The team will be lodged at the Hotel Royal, it was also gathered.
The team will hold their first training session at the Stade de l’Amitie this evening ahead of Sunday's encounter.
The team travelled to the Benin capital by road from nearby Lagos after flying down from their Kano training camp earlier on Friday.
Meanwhile the Confederation of African Football has appointed Algerian referee Mustapha Ghorbal for the match starting from 4pm and he will be assisted by compatriots Mokrane Gourari (Assistant Referee 1), Mohammed Serradj (Assistant Referee 2) and Said Aquina (Reserve Referee).
The return leg is billed to hold at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano on Saturday, 19 August, with the winners qualifying for the 5th African Nations Championship scheduled for Kenya early next year.
