Rwanda will face Sudan and Algeria in friendly games ahead of their participation at the African Nations Championship in Morocco next year, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Amavubi who will be making their third appearance at the CHAN will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their first group game in Tangier on January 15.
Former champions Libya and Equatorial Guinea are the two other teams in the group.
The team will depart for Tunisia on new year day to start intensive preparation ahead of the competition.
The friendly games against Sudan and Algeria will hold on January 6 and 10 in Tunis.
“It is very important to give most of our players playing time. As usual in friendly matches, we have six substitution and I will use all of them,” the head coach of the Amavubi, Antoine Hey, told Rwanda Football Association website.
“We have seen at Cecafa that it is a big step from the local League into international football so its important for our Players to get into match fitness early.”
