Nigerian midfielder, Hope Akpan, has expressed his delight after joining English Championship club Burton Albion from Blackburn Rovers on a one-year contract.
Akpan's signing was announced on Burton Albion's official website on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old former Everton midfielder also stated that he is happy making his debut for Burton Albion in Tuesday's 2-1 pre-season friendly win against National League club Solihull Moors.
"Happy to have signed for @burtonalbionfc and get through 45 mins last night, time to get fit and prepare for the upcoming season," Akpan wrote on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.
Akpan made 60 appearances, scoring four goals for Blackburn Rovers who he joined in 2015.
He had four caps for the Super Eagles after making his debut on October, 2014.
