Jordon Ibe is set to end speculation over his future by signing a fresh five-year deal with Liverpool before the end of this season.
The winger and his intermediaries have been holding talks with The Reds hierarchy in the last few months and there is no longer a point of conflict in negotiations, with the Anglo-Nigerian set to pen a deal that will keep him at Anfield until 2020.
Jordon Ibe has explained why his stepfather manages his affairs instead of a recognized agent, and has stressed that his parents are in the best position to offer him advice on his career.
‘’I don’t believe I need one – I think my parents can do the job and they are the best people to have around me,” Ibe was quoted as saying by The Mirror.
“My main concern has always been playing football and if I had a decision on a contract or something else off the pitch then I would always go to my parents for advice anyway.
‘’I would still do that even if I had an agent, so I don’t really see the point. If I need help, my parents will sort it out.
‘’My family will always be number one to me, and I trust them implicitly.”
This season Ibe has recorded 10 appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool, starting six of those games.
