–Morata hails PSG star’s technique and physicality
Juventus forward Alvaro Morata believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the club’s greatest ever player.
PSG striker Ibrahimovic spent just two seasons in Turin between 2004 and 2006, scoring 23 goals in 70 Serie A appearances, as well as winning two Scudetti – though both were later revoked due to the ‘Calciopoli’ refereeing scandal.
However, Morata revealed during a Twitter exchange with Juve supporters, the he feels the Swede is the finest player ever to wear the Old Lady’s famous black and white shirt.
“Those who saw him play would say Ibrahimovic,” the Spanish striker replied when asked to name the club’s No.1. “His technique and his physical strength are impressive.”
Morata also noted some significant differences between Spanish and Italian football.
“Serie A is very difficult and very competitive,” he mused. “There are many strong teams that can fight for the title.
“In Italy, they pay great attention to physical fitness and tactics. In Spain, more attention is paid to technique.”
