West Bromwich Albion’s record signing Brown Ideye has said he is determined to hit the ground running after finally joining up with his new team-mates.
The £10m striker signed earlier this summer, but he had been stranded in his home country of Nigeria awaiting the relevant paperwork to allow him to fly over to England.
The issue was finally ironed out earlier this week, and he has now joined up with the rest of Alan Irvine’s squad just a week before the opening game of the Premier League season.
“I’ve already put what has happened behind me, right now I’m here and it’s all about working, working, working,” he told the club’s official website today. “I’ve met the manager today and met my new team-mates.
