Ideye Charges Eagles To Focus On S/Africa Game

West Bromwich Albion striker Brown Ideye has advised Super Eagles to put the 3-2 loss to Congo Brazzaville behind them and focus on Wednesday’s game against Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Cape Town.

Reacting after the game, Ideye who was not invited for the AFCON double header against Congo and South Africa, charged the players to put smiles on the faces of football lovers in the game against the Bafana Bafana.

“Head up guys, look forward to the next game and make us proud,” Ideye wrote on his twitter handle.

The Eagles took a 13th minute lead through Efe Ambrose but a brace from Thievy Bifouma and skipper of the Congolese side Prince Oniangue gave them a 3-1 lead.

An 89th minute goal from Warri Wolves Gbolahan Salami was not enough as the Eagles lost 3-2.

In the group’s other game which was played on Friday, South Africa defeated home side Sudan 3-0 and will face the Eagles on Wednesday.
