Ideye Scores Goal No.12; Aluko Stars For Fulham; Ikeme Grabs Sixth Clean Sheet

Nigerian forward Brown Ideye continued his impressive scoring form for his Greek side, Olympiakos who were held to a 2-2 draw away to Platanias on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Ideye shot his side into the lead in the fourth minute when he deflected in a defensive clearance. 

He completed his brace eight minutes later tapping into an empty net off Georgios Manthatis' cross from the left flank.

The brace took Ideye's goal tally in the Greek top flight division to 12 league goals in 14 games. This is first time in five years Ideye is equaling his 2011/13 scoring feat.

At the Liberty stadium, in Wales, Alex Iwobi was unlucky to to have scored his third English Premier League goal of the season for Arsenal who recorded their fourth win in five game.

The Nigerian forward who was making 18th EPL appearance watched as his shot was deflected in by Jack Cork for an own goal that doubled the Gunners' advantage. He also forced another error from Kyle Naughton for the second Swansea own goal – Arsenal's his third goal.

At the King Power Stadium, Victor Moses made his 20th appearance for Chelsea who returned to winning ways in the EPL with a 3-0 thumping of Leicester City who paraded the Nigerian pair of Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi.

The game saw Musa extend his goal drought in the EPL to 11 games.

It was Ndidi's debut in the EPL (his second in all competitions) for the Foxes, while Musa was making his 22nd game this season.

Marcos Alonso scored twice and Pedro made sure of the points with a header from Willian's cross to ensure Chelsea move seven points clear at the top of the Premier League, despite Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 win over West Brom earlier on Saturday.

At the Vicarage Road Odion Ighalo was left on the bench for all 90 minutes as Watford drew goalless at home with Middlesbrough.

Ighalo has made 17 league appearances for the Walter Mazzarri's side who have failed to win in their last nine games this term.

In the Championship, Sone Aluko was handed a starting role in his 25th appearance for Fulham this term as they spanked Barnsley 2-0. Aluko has fired in four goals so far. They face Reading in their next game.

At the Molineaux, Carl Ikeme kept his sixth clean sheet of the season for Wolverhampton Wanderers who recorded a 1-0 win over Aston Villa.

It Turkey, Godfrey Oboabona's Rizespor emerged winners in a five goal thriller away to 10 man Alanyaspor who lost 3-2 in front of their home fans.

Omeruo who was booked in the 27th minute made his 13th start of the season while Oboabona made his 14th appearance the season.

In Israel, Hapoel Be'er Sheva opened a ten point gap at the top of the Ligat ha'Al with a 2-1 win over Bnei Yehuda. Nigerian pair of John Ogu and Anthony Nwakeame were on from start to finish.

In the Turkish second division,  Okechukwu Azubuike and Sunday Mba both featured for Yeni Malatyaspor who were held to a goalless draw at home by Sivasspor.
